All passwords are hashed, salted and encrypted before being stored. No plain text authentication data is stored for any user account
All databases are on servers managed by Omnigram, and no third parties are used for maintenance or storage
Multiple backups of all application data are securely made daily to both on and offsite locations

Getting started

To start using APIs you need to login to the Web Messaging Portal with an administrator account and generate an API Key. The API Key can be viewed only once, is securely stored on the server and must be securely stored in the client consuming the API.

REST API

Authentication

In order to use the REST API you need to generate an API Key in the Web Messaging Portal. The API Key must be specified in the Authorization Header in the "Credentials" field after the HTTP authorization scheme:

GET `https://www.omnigram.com/api/send
Accept: application/json
Authorization: <type> <credentials>

The REST API allows sending outbound messages and querying for message statuses.

SMPP

The Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) is considered the industry standard protocol for delivering short message data (SMS) between Short Message Service Centers (SMSC) and/or External Short Messaging Entities (ESME).
The protocol is a level-7 TCP/IP protocol, which allows fast deliver of SMS messages.
Our service supports the standard SMPP v3.4 protocol.

SMPP Features

Allows synchronous connection to the server and instantly receiving message statuses
The SMPP protocol is TCP/IP based
High throughput (up to 200 msgs/second)
